Dear friends,

This is that time of the year again. We are happy to invite all of you with friends and family to join us for the Annual Gala in honour of outstanding volunteers for the year (it is not only for volunteers as is wrongly understood sometimes, but all supporters, donors, sponsors and well wishers are welcome with family and friends), being held on 8th July 2012 in London, England with food, drinks, entertainment and much more. Several VIPs are invited and expected to join. Please join us for the party in the evening of 8th July from 6 PM onwards. There will be a lot to every ones taste and interest. Venue details and how to reach there will be sent soon to everyone interested to join. Please let us know for the accommodation, if you need. There are no charges, but please let us know for the numbers attending to help us organise appropriately and at the earliest please.

As you know the work continues at Gwalior in Central India through hospitals, rural clinics, schools and Orphanages to provide for poor, disabled, destitute and marginalised children and poor people of India and our "Snehalaya-The home with love in Hindi". At present we have 63 children in Snehalaya, nine more are expected to join any time now, mostly disabled and or chronically sick with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, HIV, Hepatitis B and various disabilities etc.. Snehalaya has its own special need school with VTC, multisensory room, health centre and Gaushala (cow shed with herd of 12 cows) on site as well facilities for yoga, meditation, physio &  hydrotherapy spread over an area of 25 acres with poultry, bird house, farms, gardens, orchards and more... and it continues to grow every day. The construction work for the main stream school with vocational training facilities is progressing.  

On the evening of 8th July, some volunteers will be honoured for their outstanding contributions during the year as volunteers of the year in respective categories supporting this cause. To help fund raise we are participating in Challenge 2012 where BK with grandson Aaryan are participating in 10KM run in Peak District, Derbyshire. 21st Aug. to 23rd Aug. 2012 ..........  

As every year, this year also the annual function to celebrate beginning of 6th year of Snehalaya will be held from 21st to 23rd Aug. with annual sports competition among children with disabilities from all over M.P.on 21st, various cultural events for Children with disabilities including dance, singing (solo and Group), rangoli, collage, painting competition etc. On 23rd Aug. hoisting of flags of all countries from where volunteers have come, tributes to Dr. Meena Sharma at the Samadhi remembering her on the seventh anniversary, inauguration of main stream school in Snehalaya, annual cultural event with dance, music, entertainment, prize distribution will be held with activities to continue whole day. Many VIPs and guests from India and abroad are expected to join. Souvenir for 2012 will be released on 23rd Aug. in presence of every one. Please do send your views, wishes, articles, poems and messages for the Souvenir and for Snehalaya, at the earliest but not later than 31st July.  .
